When the pandemic hit our communities, RAIN pivoted, using its agile, expert resources to develop creative solutions to COVID-19 community health concerns. RAIN developed and delivered key technologies: early warning wastewater testing, highly sensitive saliva-based testing, antibody assays and vaccine clinics.
True to its mission, RAIN transferred the technology it refined to our commercial partners to expand and continue benefit to our communities including national health leader Cordant Health Solutions' Washington laboratory.
And throughout, RAIN kept to its vision, by training students in the real world of scientific investigation of COVID-19 to prepare them for future careers in science and technology.
