Madigan’s mission includes readiness, which is the state of being prepared for whatever may come. The health and well-being of soldiers and civilians is a top priority for the United States Armed Forces. The Army’s efforts to develop the healthiest and most resilient fighting force in the world are supported by MAMC’s Department of Clinical Investigation (DCI).  The mission of the Department of Clinical Investigation (DCI) is to provide the tools, training, and expertise required to develop clinicians and scholars who engage in intellectually rigorous, safe, and ethical conduct of research which advances the science of medicine. DCI's three main lines of support include Military Medical Research, Graduate Medical Education, and Research Regulatory Oversight. DCI enables scholarly activities of investigators at Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC) and Regional Health Command - Pacific by coordinating efforts among its various expert research services available to all staff and learners and collaborates freely with its community partners.
