The Gift of RAIN Poster featuring local artists

The Gift of RAIN:

Kowchsurferz Anonymous is a local black owned multimedia production team. We are proud to be working with them to bring you The Gift of the RAIN, a fundraising concert that will be hosted at Court House Square on December 11th. We are excited to bring you live music and production featuring local talent, as well as food from Europa Bistro. We can't wait to see you all there on the 11th for some music, food, and fun.

Waterversity gets a boost:

We are excited to announce that we have received some very generous funding from different partners to help take Waterversity to the next level! Thanks to the first cohort and these recent developments, we are very confident that we will help curve the lingering problem of not having enough waste water operators. Keep checking our website for cohort registration details as we are looking to have our next class January 24th.

Chancellor Sheila Edward Lange and RAIN staff collide

RAIN and UW Tacoma Collide:

RAIN Incubator was able to connect with Chancellor Sheila Edward Lange from UW Tacoma and we are very excited about it! It very amazing to meet people who share our passion for demystifying the STEM field, especially for the BIPOC community. You can plan on near future programming coming from RAIN and UW Tacoma in the future, so be sure to tune into our social media.

The Community Brunch Series Spread by Jan Parker Cookery

First installment of the Community Brunch Series:

The first installment of the CBS series was a success! We had a great time bringing members of our community together to talk about entrepreneurship and business. Spiceworks's own Jennifer English spoke to a crowd on prioritizing your well being when owning a business (something that is hard for entrepreneurs to do). The food catered by Jan Parker Cookery was divine to say the least! We are taking the month of December off to regroup, but you can expect to see the CBS series back in the month of January with another business topic.

Gimmie the Mic Podcast with Ston Nguyen

RAIN Incubator and Kowchsurferz Anonymous on Gimmie the Mic:

Recently, we had a few of our RAIN staff members sit on a local podcast called Gimmie the Mic. Kelvin Penn and Teryn Reche sat down with host Ston Nguyen to discuss their business Kowchsurferz Anonymous, a local black owned media production team. David Hirschberg also sat down with Ston to discuss RAIN and what plan to do in the coming future. You can check out both episodes by heading to the link provided below. Thank you again Ston for giving us this opportunity!
